A TRIO of budding young artists in Bishop Auckland won prizes in an Easter card competition.
Cockton Hill Infants School pupils Elle Dagnan, Sophie Gallagher, and James Rusby, all aged five, drew winning designs in the competition run by newsagents Chribec News on Cockton Hill Road.
Elle, whose card featured a chick made from tissue paper, won top prize of a Dairy Milk Easter Egg, whilst Sophie and James won runners-up prizes of chocolate rabbits.
The youngsters’ designs will be on display in the shop’s window throughout Easter, along with 27 other designs from their classmates.
