THREE more people have been arrested by police investigating three armed robberies at post offices.
They are a 39-year-old man, who was seized at his house in Jarrow, South Tyneside, and a 17-year-old youth and a 61-year-old woman, both from Seaham, County Durham.
A Durham Police spokesman said the three were helping with police enquiries.
He added: "A number of items have been seized from various properties raided that may be connected to the post office raids. They are currently being examined.''
Three men were arrested on Tuesday, one of whom was seized during a raid on a house in Liverpool. They continue to be questioned.
The investigation is into raids on post office in Wingate and Trimdon Station, County Durham, in December, and in Elwick, near Hartlepool, in January.
