BAFTA nominated childrens' TV star Peppa Pig will be appearing at a North-East shopping centre this Easter.

Peppa and her little brother George will be entertaining fans at the Cornmill in Darlington on 13 April.

Children will be able to meet the loveable characters, who will be appearing at various intervals between 11am and 4pm on the day.

Susan Young Centre Manager said: "We are very much looking forward to greeting our extra special guests to the Cornmill Shopping Centre, I am sure they will provide entertainment that the whole family can enjoy."

The centre will be open between the hours of 10am-5pm on Easter Monday and Good Friday.

Peppa Pig was first screened on Five in 2004. More than 100 episodes have been made to date.

As well as the UK the cartoon is popular in America, Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Scandinavia and Australia. In Taiwan, the show can be seen on Playhouse Disney.
