VETS in Bishop Auckland are marking the 20th annual National Pet Month with free weekly events promoting good health and responsible ownership.
The Wilson Veterinary Group has an open evening on Tuesday April 7 from 6.30 to 8.30pm at the Tenters Street surgery where charities and animal businesses will give callers a behind the scenes insight into their work.
A talk on Dogs and Cats Through Their Ages is on Tuesday April 14 and looks at the changing requirements of pets as they get older.
The following Tuesday, April 21, the theme is first aid over the summer months.
Places for the last two events are limited. Call 01388-602707 to book. Pets should be left at home.
