Interested In Playing Basketball?

Middlesbrough Lions are looking to develop the next stars of the future and if you would like to play basketball, whatever your standard, there is a session for you. The sessions are fun and you will be taught everything from dribbling to shooting and defence. As you develop you will have opportunities to progress into proper teams at both local and national level.

The main emphasis of the junior training is on fun and the club feel if the children are enjoying themselves they will learn much more and look forward to the sessions. There are plenty of dribbling, shooting and passing games to keep the participants entertained. There are all ages in the open sessions from 5 year olds to 14.

Once players advance to a higher standard, there are team training sessions available and the Middlesbrough Lions have teams in the National League at U15 and senior mens level. The Lions are hoping to add an axtra junior national league team for the 2009/10 season and are also entering the Lions ladies into the Durham Ladies League. The ladies team have an excellent coach in Adam Walsh and are looking for new players.

At Middlesbrough College, parents are able to drop off their children and watch teh sessions or even book a hair & beauty appointment or even enjoy a work out for a small membership fee.

Game Time and Middlesbrough Lions hold junior training sessions at the superb new Middlesbrough College on Middlehaven every: Monday 6-7pm U12 boys & Junior Girls 7-9pm Senior Female Wednesday 6-7pm U14 open session 7-9pm U16 Team Training Friday 6-7pm U12 & U14 Team Training 7-9pm U16 Team Training Sunday 10-11 Primary age open session 11-12 Secondary age open session 10-12 Senior open session There is also a session on Thursdays at Huntcliff school, Saltburn 6-7pm U14 for girls and boys and 7-9pm seniors open session.
