Getting older and older Metallica still never lose any of their passion or energy. They’ve been back to the studio and have now produced their tenth album, “Death Magnetic”. Metallica has become one of the most influential and commercially successful rock bands in history, having sold 100 million albums worldwide and playing to millions of fans all over. The album is a rebirth with Metallica exploring the past, but applying everything they’ve learnt during their 20 years at the top of the heavy metal charts. With the enormous razor sharp riffs and powerful bass and drum lines this is definitely the strongest material Metallica have ever produced.
If you ignore the lyrics, Death Magnetic sounds more like it's about coming back to life. Everything comes together on the fan-favourite-to-be "Broken, Beat and Scarred," which manages to channel the full force of Metallica behind a positive message: “What don’t kill you make you more strong”.
At the end of the day Death Magnetic is the best album Metallica have ever produced.
