Water was captured pouring onto a Sunderland street overnight after a water main burst - sparking power cuts in nearby streets.
The incident occurred on Chester Road, near the junction with St Mark's Road, on Tuesday (December 3) evening after the water main burst just before midnight.
Footage taken from the scene showed how water had flooded a significant stretch of the street, with police seen blocking off the road to motorists.
Crews from Northumbrian have been working on the incident through the night - with the water firm confirming that there has been no impact on the water supply to customers in the area.
Northern Powergrid previously confirmed that 35 properties were affected by a power cut at around 7.30am, with 110 customers cut off.
They said teams were still "working to get power back on" - with restoration in progress at the time of publication and works expected to be completed by midday on Wednesday (December 4).
Aerial footage from 'I'm Bored North East' also revealed the extent of the flooding from above, which can be seen here.
A full statement from Northumbrian Water said: “We are currently on-site at the Western Hill junction on Chester Road repairing a burst on a water main.
“The burst was reported to us late last night (03/12/2024) and our crews have worked through the night to isolate and repair the burst.
