Man jailed for 26 weeks after being found carrying a knife.
Neil Martin, 56, was stopped by the police on Granville Road in Middlesbrough when acting suspiciously on the morning of December 1.
During a search officers found a knife and arrested him.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "56-year-old Neil Martin was stopped by officers from Middlesbrough Proactive Team on Granville Road in Middlesbrough at 11:45am on the morning of Sunday 1st December, after he was acting suspiciously.

"When officers searched him, they found him in possession of a knife."
Sergeant John Sproson of Middlesbrough Proactive Team said: “We always take possession of a knife seriously.
"Hand them in to our permanent amnesty bins in our stations anonymously.”
