Over £3,000 in cash has been stolen from The Works store in Bishop Auckland.
The incident occurred early on the morning of December 2, when burglars gained entry to the Newgate Street store by breaking through the roof.
The suspects taken more than £3,000 from the store's safe and during the process of the break-in, significant damage was caused to the premises.
Durham Police are appealing for any information from the public that may assist in identifying those responsible.

Anyone with details is urged to contact PC Paul Elliott via email at paul.elliott1@durham.police.uk, quoting incident reference number 76 of December 2.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
