Food lovers across the region are being urged to mark their calendars for the return of one of the North East's biggest summer events.
Durham Council Council has confirmed that the Seaham Food Festival will take place on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 of August next year.
The two-day festival regularly attracts thousands of visitors and showcases over 120 independent traders, offering everything from delicious street food and locally brewed drinks to artisanal cheeses, desserts and much more.
Trader applications for the 2025 event are now open, with a deadline of Friday 14 February 2025.
Businesses interested in taking part can apply online, providing details about their products, photos of their stalls, and their social media profiles.
In addition to the wide range of food and drink on offer, the festival will feature a cookery theatre, with live demonstrations from top chefs. Details of the celebrity chefs appearing will be revealed in the coming months.

Cllr Elizabeth Scott, Durham County Council’s Cabinet member for economy and partnerships, said: “Our summer festivals are a key part of County Durham’s events calendar, welcoming thousands of people to the county and bringing a boost to our local businesses as well as the wider visitor economy.
"To make sure our events are enjoyed by as many people as possible, we start our preparations now.
“Seaham Food Festival is a fantastic opportunity for independent traders. Not only do they benefit from the influx of people that come along to discover new dishes and produce, but it also allows the business to get their name out there and build their client base.
"Seaham Food Festival is always a brilliant weekend, so I would encourage anyone interested in having a stall to get their application in, so we can welcome you in 2025.”
