American rock band Kings of Leon have been announced as the second headline act of a new North East music festival.
The group, famed for hit singles 'Use Somebody' and 'Sex on Fire', have a UK number one album and follow Robbie Williams as the latest headline act for Come Together festival on Newcastle's Town Moor next year.
Previously they have headlined major global festivals including Coachella and Glastonbury, and have performed at Newcastle's St James' Park and Sunderland's Stadium of Light.
They will take to the stage on the town moor on June 8, 2025, joined by Courteeners as special guests.
Toby Leighton-Pope, managing director of TEG Europe, said: "We're beyond excited to announce Kings of Leon as a headline act for Come Together Festival.
"Alongside Robbie Williams, these are two of the biggest names in the music world, and we can’t wait to see them perform on the same stage in Newcastle.

The festival, which will take place from June 4 to June 8, aims to cater to fans of all music genres.
Pre-sale tickets for the Come Together Festival go on sale from 9am on December 4, with the general sale starting at 9am on December 6.
