Darlington is set to be taken over by a “wicked” selection of magical ice sculptures as the annual ice trail returns.
Families will be able to search the town for different festive sculptures on Saturday, December 7, between 11am and 3pm.
Visitors will have the chance to climb aboard Darly the magical train, visit a very famous train station, and meet a frozen cartoon superstar – “for real life”!
Darlington will even have its very own taste of Oz as this year, the trail will feature a sculpture inspired by the new Wicked movie, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
The sculptures will be all around the town centre including the yards and St Cuthbert’s Church, with trail maps available on the day.

Chris McEwan, cabinet member for economy, said: “The ice sculpture trail is always a great event and, following the successful Christmas light switch-on, it’s a great way for everyone to join in the festive spirit.
“I hope people will also take the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping, visit our fantastic independent shops and grab a hot drink and some food in one of the many restaurants and cafes in the town centre.”
The trail can also be seen online at the Enjoy Darlington website www.enjoydarlington.co.uk
