A new community space, café, pub and restaurant has opened in North Yorkshire on Monday (December 2).
The Lingdale Tavern, in Lingdale North Yorkshire, is promising to be the 'heart of the community' and ready to welcome everyone.
The Lingdale Tavern has been designed to support and strengthen the local community, with facilities and programmes aimed at making a positive difference.
The Tavern, near Redcar, will feature a coffee shop called the 'Miners Rest', which serves barista-made coffees, teas, fresh cakes, and light bites from 8am to 3pm.
The restaurant is open from 12pm to 9pm which will offer a 'diverse' menu with hearty dishes and international flavours.
There is also a bar open from 12pm to 11pm serving a range of drinks including cocktails and draught beers.
In a post on Facebook, they gave people a sneak peek into the creation of the Tavern and a look inside, but from today the public can go and enjoy it for everything it has to offer.
In the coming weeks, additional facilities will open, including a community room for events and workshops, a games room with a pool table and dartboard, and an upstairs function room with a 100-inch TV for live sports screenings.
The Tavern will also offer social workers and trained psychologists so people can go along and meet others and get involved in the community programme.

Local MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, Luke Myer joined the community to celebrate the venue's opening and praised its focus on community support.
He said: "The Lingdale Tavern is much more than just a place to eat or drink. It is a venue dedicated to supporting our community, with social workers, youth activities, and a safe place to access support.
"It was fantastic to meet the team behind this wonderful space, which will be a real asset for all of East Cleveland. I encourage everyone to visit and experience it for themselves."
The venue is designed to serve as both a social space and a community hub, with facilities aimed at fostering connections and supporting local residents.
