A North East pub has sold following "extremely high" interest in the property while it was on the market.
The Hylton Castle Arms, on Cranleigh Road, Sunderland, was a favourite among locals for many years until its closure in 2023.
Trading under the name since 1959, the pub was sold by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co on behalf of the Robson family who had owned the pub for many years.
The Robson family said: "We were referred to Christie & Co to sell our pub, and the process could not have been smoother and quicker.
"A special thanks to Marslie who went above and beyond to facilitate this sale, with consistent communication throughout the process.

"Her professional and relaxed attitude made an often stressful process a pleasant one."
The pub presented an opportunity for a new owner-operator to purchase the site, refurbish the premises, and re-establish trade, or alternatively explore its potential for change of use, subject to relevant consents.
Marslie McGregor, business agent at Christie & Co who managed the sale, said: "It was a pleasure to sell this property on behalf of the Robson family, who had owned and operated this site for many years.
"The level of interest was extremely high, resulting in multiple offers received.
"From start to finish, the property was marketed and the sale completed in just 26 days.
"Although the market is facing some challenges at the moment, we are still seeing positive buyer demand for well-priced sites that offer potential, in good locations."
It was sold at an undisclosed price.
