Motorists faced heavy delays during rush hour this morning following a crash that saw one lane closed.
Those heading southbound on the A19 near Murton, Seaham this morning were met with delays following the crash just before 8am.
Police were at the scene and one lane was briefly closed, meaning traffic stretched back to Old Burdon.
It has now been confirmed that nobody was injured and the road is fully re-opened.

A statement reads: "Police were called shortly before 8am today (December 2) following a two-vehicle collision on the A19, near Murton.
"Nobody is believed to have been injured during the incident, which happened just before the Dalton Park junction."
