Some sentimental items were set on fire on a child's grave, and decorations were stolen from another grave in the same cemetery.
The items were reportedly set alight on a child’s grave in Redcar on Saturday (November 23), while decorations, including Disney-themed items, a wooden barrier, and stones, were stolen from another nearby grave.
Families have been left greatly distressed as the police launch an investigation and appeal to the public for information.
Officers have visited the cemetery, spoken with the families, and begun inquiries into the incident.
