One person was taken to hospital after an early morning crash near North East primary school.
The incident took place at 8:48am on the B6286 in Hunwick.
An ambulance crew was sent to the scene and took someone to hospital.
A spokesperson for Hunwick Primary School confirmed that they are still open today.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision this morning (28 November) at 8:48am on the B6286 in Hunwick.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and one patient was taken to University Hospital of North Durham."
