There were lights, cameras, and plenty of action in Middlesbrough this evening (November 27) as stars lined the red (or pink) carpet for the premiere of Smoggie Queens.
The six-part series - which is set to be available on BBC iPlayer from tomorrow - hosted an exclusive launch party at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
Drag queens, Smoggie Queens, and hundreds of others gathered in the historic building, which had been lit up in pink, ahead of a special screening of the show.
Walking the red carpet on Wednesday evening were Middlesbrough native Mark Benton (Waterloo Road, Early Doors, Northern Lights), who plays drag queen ‘Mam’, Alexandra Mardell (Coronation Street) who plays Lucinda, and creator and writer Phil Dunning, who plays Dickie.
They were joined by fellow cast members Patsy Lowe, who plays awkward Sal, Elijah Young, who stars as newcomer Stewart, and series guest star Bill Fellows (Coronation Street, Ted Lasso).
