A four-star boutique Durham hotel has been put on the market for £2,000,000.
The Sixty-One Hotel Durham, located on Hallgarth Lane in Pittington, offers 24 en-suite bedrooms and is a popular wedding venue with a range of banqueting and conferencing facilities.
The estate agents, Christie & Co, describe the Grade II listed property as a "charming hotel and wedding venue" while the hotel's website describes it as a 'luxury' boutique hotel.
It is said to have undergone a refurbishment programme, with its current owners deciding to sell due to other business interests.
The hotel is set in a semi-rural location, surrounded by gardens spanning around 3.7 acres.
Estate agents say the hotel, which has roots dating back to the 1600s, was formerly an 18th-century manor house.
Alongside the bedrooms, the ground floor of the hotel comprises of a reception hall, function suite, bar, restaurant, and kitchen.
The function suite is said to hold up to 240 guests, while the garden room caters for smaller gatherings of up to 60, while the restaurant is described as a "smart and stylish" room with ceiling beams and exposed stone and brick work.

Outside, the hotel is said to feature a decking area leading onto the gardens.
It also has a "good-sized" car park.
The estate agents said: "The hotel trade is in a period of building and is increasing quickly.
"Sixty-One Durham has a good and growing number of weddings and functions booked for 2024 and 2025.
"This is a real opportunity for a new owner to purchase a turn-key hotel for a good price and build a significant business.
"Our clients are selling the hotel because they have a lot of other business interests."
The estate agents also said the hotel is already proving popular for weddings due to its "excellent facilities".
This includes an 11th century church located very close to the hotel, which is said to work well with the venue to provide a "fantastic wedding experience".
The estate agents have said planning permission was granted by Durham City Council in February to convert a barn adjacent to the hotel into two letting bedrooms, as well as convert an outbuilding and function suite into additional bedrooms.
