A brand new unique café called the 'Craic Den' has opened in Darlington town centre.

Darlington's Post House is a new gem for coffee lovers and cake enthusiasts, located above Whimsickal. 

Whimsickal, a popular alternative shop that's been in the town for around three years. 

Recently opened, around four weeks ago, the café offers a warm and inviting space for visitors to enjoy sweet treats and hot drinks.

She said: "Upstairs was just an unused room, so we decided to renovate it. We've put a lot of love into it."

She said: "It's been a bit quiet, but we're hoping to get the word out and let people know we're here." 

The café focuses on simplicity and quality, serving a selection of cakes and hot drinks. She said: "It's a great spot to hang out, work, or just relax with friends over good coffee and great service."

Whimsickal, the alternative shop below, has been drawing a loyal customer base since its opening three years ago. 

Known for its unique selection of incense, crystals, clothes, jewellery, candles, and accessories, it's become a favourite for those seeking something different. 

The café is now open at 8 Post House Wynd in Darlington, above Whimsickal. It opens 10-3 Monday to Saturday.
