A man has been charged with murder and will appear in court today after a 34-year-old was allegedly stabbed and later died in hospital last week.
Andrew Clark, aged 38, of Harlech Close in Middlesbrough, was arrested on November 24 following the alleged murder in the Lealholm Walk area of Eston on November 21 at 9pm.
A man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance and died a short time later.
Police later named the man who died as John Donaldson - described by his family as a "much loved" brother, uncle, and son.
It has now been confirmed that the suspect has now, been charged with murder, possession of a knife, and criminal damage.
A 33-year-old woman, from Middlesbrough, was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has been released with no further action.
