Beamish Museum welcomes around 800,000 visitors every year - so it is no surprise that it takes a team of over 350 paid staff and 400 volunteers to keep the attraction ticking over.
The most popular paid attraction in the North East is searching for a fresh crop of people to join its team at we move into the new year.
With seasonal vacancies listed on their website, you could be doing everything from frying chips on a period-appropriate coal-fired range, to making decisions about the future of the museum on their board of trustees.
Here are some of the roles that you can apply for right now - do you think you have what it takes to work at this world-renowned museum?
1. Gardener
Beamish is looking to recruit a gardener to work as part of a team to ensure a high level of maintenance and upkeep of the period gardens and associated landscapes within the Museum.
The job advert says: "It's an exciting time to be joining the museum, earlier this year we completed our major capital project adding to the amazing landscape and gardens across the museum.
"We would love to hear from you if you are interested in maintaining the museum's unique and beautiful environment."
2. Head Of Governance and Company Secretary
The museum is also looking for an experienced head of governance to help the organisation thrive in the charity sector.
The job listing says: "Are you passionate about governance and compliance within the charity sector?
"Do you have the strategic acumen to support an organisation’s highest standards of governance and accountability? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Head of Governance & Company Secretary at Beamish Museum.

"As the Head of Governance & Company Secretary, you will lead and oversee our governance arrangements, ensuring our museum remains compliant with legal, and corporate standards while maintaining an effective governance framework.
"You’ll work closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and the Board of Trustees, providing expert advice on governance issues, managing Board and committee meetings, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements."
Key responsibilities for the role include governance, board and committee management, trustee recruitment and policy development.
