Cleveland Police have confirmed one person has been rushed to hospital after a crash on the A19.
At 9:20am, on Monday (November 25) there was a single-vehicle collision on the A19 Northbound in Elwick.
Following the crash, police confirmed that one was taken to hospital.
The crash saw motorists experience significant delays with an average speed of ten mph.
The road between the junctions of the A689 and the A179 has since been cleared and traffic is moving at normal levels.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "There was a single-vehicle collision reported at around 9.20am this morning on the A19 northbound in Elwick.
"The person was taken to hospital."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision today (November 25) at 9:26am on A19 in Elwick, Hartlepool.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader.
"One patient was taken to University Hospital of North Tees."
