A Newcastle woman walked away with almost £20,000 after on Saturday’s episode of The Wheel on BBC One.

Grace, a 30-year-old financial crime analyst, scooped the prize on the Michael McIntyre show, and planned to use the money to get onto the property ladder and visit her Grandma in Hong Kong.

She thought her game was over after being knocked off the wheel when she and fellow Geordies Chris and Rosie Ramsey answered a question on who was monarch during the Second World War incorrectly.

But Grace soon returned to the wheel being spun in again from the contestant wheel, only to be shutdown again and think her dreams of winning were scuppered.

But when fellow competitors Sally from Glasgow and Dean from Cardiff incorrectly answered the ‘cash out question’ Grace got a final chance to win £19,500.

With the help of Clare Balding she answered her final question correctly, taking home the prize.
