Storm Bert is continuing to have an impact in North Yorkshire where roads have been closed due to flooding.
Another weather warning has been issued in the South West and more than 200 flood alerts are in place in the UK as Storm Bert continues to sweep across the country.
Yesterday many across the North East woke to heavy snow followed by persistent rain which caused flash thawing causing river levels to rise.
Flood alerts were issued for the Upper River Swale, including areas around Richmond, Marske, Skelton, Brompton-on-Swale, and Catterick with flooding possible into Sunday (November 24).
It comes after Storm Bert battered parts of the region with some areas under an amber snow warning from the Met Office. Almost all of the country was under a yellow warning for snow and ice.
The storm wreaked havoc in Wales where homes and cars have been plunged underwater. Rising waters have been reported in towns across the country, including Pontypridd, Ebbw Vale and Aberdare, with landslides in north Wales.
Five adults and five children had to be rescued from a house in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, near Llangollen in north Wales, following a landslide on Saturday.
