A major power line is down in Stokesley as Storm Bert hits the North East.
The incident has left nearly 27,000 people without electricity.
Northern Powergrid are aware of the situation and they have been working to fix the problem in the North East.
The current estimate for a fix is 6pm this evening.
A Northern Powergrid spokepserson said: "Nearly 27,000 customers' power supply has been interrupted with Northumberland, County Durham, and Tyne and Wear being our most affected areas.

"We were expecting some disruption due to the weather and our teams were ready and prepared to repair the network and get our customers' power back on as quickly as possible.
"We thank customers for their patience whilst our teams work hard to get their lights back on.
