Wetherspoon will open the doors of 35 of its North East pubs on Christmas Day.
Drinkers will be able to enjoy a yuletide tipple at the pub giant’s locations across the region on December 25 with the pubs set to open for four hours, between 11am and 3pm.
Spoons watering holes set to open Christmas Day include The Tanners Hall in Darlington, Grand Electric Hall in Spennymoor, Company Row in Consett, The Quayside in Newcastle, and The William Jameson in Sunderland.
They are among 664 of the company’s 797 branches opening on the day.
Punters won’t be able to tuck into Spoons grub though, with kitchens at all of the pubs closed. It means Christmas Dinner, which is on the Wetherspoon festive menu and features turkey, stuffing, roasted carrots and parsnips, mash, pigs in blankets, peas, cranberry sauce, and gravy for £11.99, will not be available.
It is understood Spoons locations within airports will still serve food.
The Christmas menu, which is available until December 31, also features a festive pizza, burger, and a cookies & cream blondie.
