The Auckland Project have brought back their popular AGLOW at Auckland Palace light trail from today, November 22 until December, 31.
The outdoor trail features 22 dazzling installations, a 100-metre long tunnel of light- one of the longest in the country, and a 30-metre tall Christmas tree, which again is one of the tallest in the North of England.
New additions this year include a River of Light, illuminated sculptures at the deer house, and an upgraded Santa's Village featuring a workshop, post office, games, food and drink stalls and performances by Santa and his elves regularly throughout the evening.
Visitors can also watch a light projected display onto the Palace every five minutes with this year it showing the twelve days of Christmas.
The event is open from today Friday, November 22 till Sunday, December 31 with entry times from 4:30pm till 8pm but you don't need to leave the trail till 10pm.
The AGLOW event is closed Mondays and Tuesdays until December 16 and closed on Christmas Day too.

Jared Bowers, chief operating officer at The Auckland Project, said: “AGLOW was the highlight of last year for so many families, so it was an easy decision to bring an even better and bigger version back for this year’s festivities.
“For 2024, we’ll be guiding visitors on a new route, whilst making the most of features in the parkland and creating more installations that build on the themes, colours and characters that visitors enjoyed last year.
"Everyone’s favourite picture opportunity ‘Tunnel of Light’ will return, perfectly illuminating the top of our newly opened Walled Garden."
