Plans to build a bungalow in a County Durham village have been submitted to the council.
The proposal details the construction of a detached three-bedroom dormer bungalow on a vacant plot.
Mr Colin Dover and Mrs Marie Dover submitted the plans to Durham County Council for the site, which is south of The Paddock, Lanchester, Durham.
The plot had been previously approved for development, and the applicants have claimed an exemption to the biodiversity net gain condition, stating the project is self-build and had prior outline or full permission.
The proposed bungalow would sit on a 683 sq m plot, with materials including Forterra Hampton Rural Blend bricks, sandstone headers and cills, grey slate roofing, and anthracite UPVC windows.

Plans outline the use of existing conifer hedgerows and brick garden walls, with proposals for additional brick wall and timber fencing, permeable block paving for the driveway, and decorative paving for the gardens.
No changes are proposed to the current vehicular or pedestrian access from the public highway, but a driveway is included in the proposal.
The site is not in a flood risk area and the application was submitted by agent Mr Paul Barkas of Aspect Design on October 16.
