Darlington Railway Station got into the festive spirit this week as it put up a Christmas tree at one of its platforms.
It has prompted praise from locals who have claimed it is 'better than' the tree in the town centre.
The Christmas tree has sparked a lively discussion among residents on social media.
Karen Clifton expressed her delight, simply stating: "Fabulous."
Others echoed this sentiment, with Kay Beveridge commenting: "it really is gorgeous," after seeing it upon returning from a trip.
Janette Price remarked: "Better than the one on high row," while Louise Meredith added: "This looks better than the one in the town centre."

However, not all comments were positive.
Eriks Cilke shared a contrasting view, calling the tree "cheap and tacky."
While Carol Hannaford suggested another use for the tree saying: "Well at least it will be something to look at when my train is cancelled again."
The festive display has undoubtedly brought some cheer, with many residents appreciating the effort made by the station.
As the holiday season approaches, it seems the station's tree is a welcome addition to Darlington's festive atmosphere.
