A North East butcher has hit the market and is up for sale for £20,000.
The long-established S. Phillips Quality Butchers in North Shields is on the market due to owner Mr Phillips, retiring after running the business single-handedly for nearly a decade.
According to the estate agent, Rook Matthews Sayer, the business has been operating from its Saville Street location since 2013.
The shop, situated on the ground floor of a three-storey end terrace property, boasts a prime location on the main street leading to North Shields town centre.
Located in a bustling with both national and independent retailers, including Asda and Ladbrokes, the butchers also benefit from free parking directly behind the building within the Asda car park.
The floor area of the shop is about 33.25 sq. m (357.9 sq. ft.), which includes an open-plan customer service area, kitchen, and W.C. facilities.
Rook Matthews Sayer described the business as a "traditional butcher" with an "excellent reputation" and a loyal customer base.

The shop's annual turnover is reportedly around £140,000, and it has a five-star food hygiene rating.
The rent for the property is £5,500 per annum, although the estate agents have been verbally informed there will be a rent increase when the new lease is prepared.
The lease is currently rolling over with North Tyneside County Council, while the 2024 Rating List entry values the property at £5,000.
As the rateable value is below £12,000, occupiers for whom this property forms their sole trading premises will not pay business rates.
However, potential buyers are advised to seek verification of this from the Local Rating Authority.
The butchers operates from Monday to Saturday, with a day off on Wednesday and Sunday.
Viewings of the property are strictly by appointment through Rook Matthews Sayer.
