An early morning collision saw a cyclist hospitalised and two roads blocked off in Newton Aycliffe today (Wednesday, November 20).
A car and a bike collided on Williamfield Way, in Newton Aycliffe, at about 8.15am earlier today.
The cyclist was hospitalised by the incident - but is thankfully believed to have suffered only minor injuries.
Durham Police attended, and there were delays on Greenfield Way and Williamfield Way.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a bike and a car on Williamfield Way, in Newton Aycliffe, at about 8.15am this morning (Wednesday, November 20).
"The cyclist was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries."
