A man has been arrested on suspicion of affray after armed police were seen outside a County Durham home.
Gun-toting cops were pictured outside a property on the A690/Frederick Street in Meadowfield, on the outskirts of Durham, on Tuesday (November 19) morning after reports of a disturbance.
Officers were seen stopping traffic and blocking the road while specially trained colleagues attended.
A man was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken into police custody, where he remains.
No one was injured in the incident, Durham Constabulary confirmed.
A force spokesperson said: “We would like to thank residents for their patience and support while we were in attendance at the scene.”
