The family of a young motorbike rider killed in a crash in Barnard Castle have paid tribute to him.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to Dentgate Lane on November 11 after a serious crash involving two cars and a motorbike.
The road was closed while 999 crews - made up of around 15 vehicles - worked at the scene, before taking one person to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough via road ambulance.
A motorbike rider - who has now been named as 20-year-old Shane Gaskin - was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died the following day.
Shane’s family have paid tribute to him, thanking air ambulance staff, emergency services and the staff at James Cook Hospital who all tried their best to save him.
Durham Constabulary has confirmed that an investigation into the crash, which occurred just before 6pm, is ongoing.
