Plans to build three homes near Darlington have been submitted to North Yorkshire Council.
Filed by Mr and Mrs Packham of Winterbourne Lodge, the application proposes the construction of two four-bedroom houses and one five-bedroom house in Cliffe, near Piercebridge.
The site spans 3,900 square metres and does not currently have any residential units or vehicle parking.
These three new homes will provide five parking spaces and the design of the homes will feature walls made of stone or render, with roofs sporting red or brown pantiles.
The application, handled by Jason Hurley of Evolve Architectural Services Ltd, includes details on the layout, landscaping, and external appearance of the proposed development.
Access to the site will be via an existing track, with visibility splays set to be improved for safety.
Sustainable drainage systems will be used to manage surface water, and while the development is not expected to impact protected habitats, tree and hedge surveys may be required.

The proposed development is situated in the village of Cliffe, which does not have formal development limits. However, the proposal is considered in the context of Piercebridge, an area known for historical landmarks such as the Roman Piercebridge site and Dere Street.
The site is more than 20 metres from the River Tees, ensuring it complies with flood risk management requirements.
While the development is outside a conservation area, its proximity to Roman archaeological features necessitates a written scheme of investigation and monitoring during construction.
The homes have been designed in a traditional style, using materials compatible with the local vernacular.
Each unit will have a private garden and defined parking spaces.
The proposal is in line with the Richmondshire Local Plan 2012-2028 and the National Planning Policy Framework, supporting housing supply and providing access to local services and transport links in Piercebridge and Darlington.
