Christmas is coming and Middleton Hall Retirement Village has a packed schedule of events lined up to celebrate the festive season in style.

The village’s Christmas events calendar begins in earnest towards the end of November. A wreath-making session, Christmas Fair, watercolour workshop and festive dining event and afternoon tea are all on offer and everyone is welcome along.

  • Wreath-making Workshop, Thursday 28 November, 10.30am, £20 per person including materials, light refreshments and mulled wine
  • Christmas Fair, Saturday 30 November, 10.30am – 3pm, free entry. Stalls with unique Christmas gifts, raffle & tombola, mulled wine, food & drink, Santa's grotto and children’s tombola & crafts
  • Festive Restaurant Night, Wednesday 4 December, 6.30pm, £29.50 per person
  • Festive Art Worksop in the Middleton Hall Art Studio – Monday 16 December, 5pm – 8pm, £40 per person including all materials and refreshments. Create beautiful Christmas-themed watercolour pieces
  • Festive Afternoon Tea in the Middleton Hall Restaurant, Wednesday 18 December, 2pm - 4pm, £15 per person

Throughout December Christmas party celebrations will also be in full flow for residents and families in each of the village’s luxury residential care services and for residents living in the supported apartments.

(Image: Middleton Hall Retirement Village) With the approaching festive season and the accompanying winter weather in mind, in recent weeks community-spirited members of the village’s Knit and Natter group have handcrafted a cosy selection of scarves, hats, and gloves for those in need.

Over several months, the dedicated knitters created an array of colourful winter essentials to donate to the Salvation Army, hoping to spread warmth to vulnerable community members.

In a touching handover ceremony held in the Middleton Hall Restaurant, the Salvation Army not only received the handmade items but also brought along a choir, filling the Hall with musical cheer and celebrating the spirit of kindness and community.
