Cleveland Fire service has released pictures of the devastation caused to the inside of a home in Yarm after a house fire.
The blaze at the property, on the Conyers Green estate, destroyed the living room of the house, but was contained in that room because the internal doors had been closed.
Emergency services attended the property following a fire at just befopre 7.30pm on Sunday, November 10.
Pictures taken from the scene at the time showed two fire engines parked along the road, with the front room of the property and the exterior brickwork left blackened by the fire.
A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokesperson confirmed that there were no people involved in the incident.
The service has now chosen to release pictures from inside the building to emphasise the importance of having closed doors at night.

A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "These powerful images from a house fire we attended recently show why it’s so important to close your doors at night.
"An electrical fault with the TV caused a fire in the living room, but thanks to closed doors, the fire was contained. While the living room suffered severe damage, the hallway and the rest of the property had only light smoke damage.
"A simple action can save lives and property. Close your doors before bed to stop the spread of fire and smoke."
