A stretch of a busy town centre road was closed to traffic after a car overturned late this afternoon (Sat Nov 16), in Middlesbrough.
The area surrounding the overturned Renault Clio, in Borough Road, was coned off, shortly after darkness fell.

Headlights on the stricken vehicle remained illuminated as the metallic red car lay on its roof in the road as police officers appeared to be monitoring the scene.
Cleveland Police and the North East Ambulance Service have been contacted for information about the circumstances of the incident and for any news of any casualties arising from it, but there have been no subsequent updates from either body.
