A man has been hospitalised and five people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the leg in the early hours of this morning.
Police and crime scene investigators have been in attendance on William Street and the surrounding area in Stockton today (November 16) following an incident, now confirmed to have been a stabbing just before 1am.
The street was cordoned off by police who have remained at the scene today, including on the surrounding streets of West Row and Yarm Lane.
An investigation has since taken place and pictures taken throughout the afternoon show police searching bins, drains and more.

It has now been confirmed that five people have been arrested on suspicion of assault, and remain in custody.
Police added: "If you have any information about the incident, please call 101 and quote reference SE24219103."
