Pictures as William Street, Stockton cordoned off by police

A cordon is in place on William Street in Stockton following an incident - understood to have taken place early this morning (November 16).

The street, which is behind a few takeaways, has a police car and officer stationed inside.

Police are also parked on Yarm Lane and West Row, not far from William Street.

It is unknown whether this is linked to the cordon or a separate incident.

Cleveland Police have been contacted for more information.
