Darlington residents have been warned that they may notice a change in their water due to some essential maintenance.
Northumbrian Water is currently carrying out some work at the Broken Scar Treatment Works in Darlington, meaning people living nearby may notice some changes to their water,
The water company said people may notice a slight increase in the smell of the water, or an increase in the taste of chlorine, until Monday, November 18.
A text message was sent out to Darlington residents warning them of the change this afternoon (Friday, November 15).
The text stated: "We are doing some essential maintenance at the Broken Scar WTW - You may notice a very slight change in the water, a slight increase in the smell/taste of chlorine until Monday 18/11. Thank you for your patience."
