A man is fighting for his life after a quad bike crash in Northumberland.
Officers were called to the A697 near Whittingham on Thursday (November 14) after a white Volkswagen car collided with a red Honda quad bike at around 5pm.
Northumbria Police has confirmed that a man, aged in his 50s, was left with serious injuries - with his current condition not yet known.
A woman in her 30s has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She remains in police custody.
The force has now launched an appeal on the incident, and is particularly keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area at the time.
