Newcastle United ace Joelinton said he and his family “simply want to live in peace” after the football star’s home was reportedly broken into for the second time this year.

This morning (November 15), the midfielder issued a desperate plea after yet another reported incident at his mansion on Runnymede Road, in the affluent neighbourhood of Darras Hall.

The 28-year-old announced the news on Instagram, saying “nothing valuable left” and asked for his home to be respected “as a safe space for our family”.

The full post said: “Our home was broken into again. To anyone considering doing this: Please know that there is nothing valuable left here!

“What we care about most is our family's safety and our kids growing up without fear. We hope for a community where our children, and everyone's children, feel safe.

“We ask that our home be respected as a safe space for our family. We simply want to live in peace.”

This marks the second time the star’s home was broken into in 2024, with police being called to his property on January 13, when it was reported that three intruders were inside his home.

The incident took place as the Magpies lost to Manchester City at St James’ Park, with Joelinton calling police after being alerted by security on his phone.

His family, including his three children, were not in the home at the time - but the intruders had fled by the time police arrived.

Northumbria Police confirmed it is investigating.

A spokesperson said: “Shortly after 7.35pm yesterday (Thursday), police received a report of burglary at an address on Runnymede Road in Darras Hall.

“It was reported that offenders had entered the property. Officers attended the scene – however those believed to be involved had fled the area.
