Northallerton DJ, Darren Kirk best in Yorkshire and North East

Northallerton DJ, Darren Kirk, from Freedom Discos, Sound and Lighting, has been highly commended at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025, in the hotly fought 'Wedding DJ of The Year' category, and has been recognised as the best in the Yorkshire and North East Region.

"Being Highly Commended is certainly a proud achievement, of which I am very thankful to my couples."

Regional Winners then progress to the National Finals in January 2025.

“Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success.

"Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things.

It’s been a great year for Freedom Discos, Sound, and Lighting already, with being a Finalist last year, bookings increased, with many Weddings, Parties, and Events and they’re pleased to be ending the year on a high.
