Police have released images of a man they wish to identify as part of an investigation into a reported robbery and assault in Gateshead.
The incident occurred around 1:30pm on Wednesday, November 6, when a man entered a shop in Fewster Square, Leam Lane Estate.
The man attempted to leave the store with multiple soft rinks without paying.
When confronted by two staff members, a man and a woman, he reportedly assaulted them before fleeing the scene.
Northumbria Police have shared images of a man who was believed to be in the area at the time of the incident.
Officers believe he may have information that could assist further with their investigation.
