A North East foodbank has partnered with Fenwick, launching a charity t-shirt to raise funds over the Christmas period.
NUFC Fans Supporting Foodbanks, a group of foodbank volunteers and football fans, have teamed up with the Newcastle department store to sell the t-shirts.
The initiative aims to raise funds for Newcastle Foodbank, an anti-poverty charity providing emergency food and welfare support for those in financial hardship.
NUFC Fans Foodbank co-founder, Bill Corcoran, said: "We know that Newcastle isn’t just a city that we live in, it’s a city that lives in us, wherever Geordies and their families and friends are, all over the world, we take care of our own.
"The Fans Foodbank movement shows that great spirit of fans united in their determination to do something about starvation and deprivation in our communities.
"With these t-shirts, we hope to raise much-needed funds for Newcastle Foodbank, and help raise awareness about food poverty in our region."
Ethically sourced, the t-shirts are available for purchase in-store at Fenwick and online at shop.newcastlefoodbank.org.

All profits will go towards helping Newcastle Foodbank ensure no one goes hungry this Christmas.
The t-shirts are also part of Fenwick's Christmas window display and have been modelled by social media influencer Adam Pearson.
The charity operates a network of seven foodbank and welfare hubs in the Newcastle City region, providing food and fuel vouchers, and advice on benefits, debt, and the cost of living crisis.
In 2023-24, Newcastle Foodbank provided 25,500 food parcels, 3,042 visits to food pantries, and specialist advice through their Pathways Welfare Program.
The initiative comes as Newcastle Foodbank continues to provide support to those in need, with their services ranging from food and fuel vouchers to advice on benefits, debt, and the cost of living crisis.
The charity operates a network of seven foodbank and welfare hubs in the Newcastle City region.
