An RAF base will conduct low flying night time operations until the start of December, it has confirmed.
RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire said on Tuesday (November 12) that evening training exercises would last until 10pm.
The RAF site said this was due to the Swiss Air Force using the base for its annual training.
It's expected that the training will last until December 6, with RAF Leeming advising residents near the base as a precautionary measure.
A spokesperson for RAF Leeming said: "There will be increased flying at RAF Leeming from today (November 12) as the Swiss Air Force begins their annual training at the base.
"Ten F-18 Hornets deployed to the base yesterday, November 11 for Exercise Yorknite which runs until December 6.
"The exercise will be focussed on night flying, as such, increased low-level flying is possible over parts of the region until 10pm on weekdays subject to weather conditions."
