Cats at a County Durham rescue centre are still looking for a forever home, with some waiting almost a year.
Zoe's Ark, established in Bishop Auckland last year, has been a sanctuary for distressed felines, rescuing around 100 cats since its inception and rehoming many.
However, these four cats remain at the rescue centre, still hoping for a furr-manent home.
Savvi and Merlo
The first two, Savvi and Merlo, were captured as ferals on a busy road.
Savvi, a three-year-old mum, and her 11-month-old kitten, Merlo, have made substantial progress in building their confidence, but need a home to fully blossom.
Their shy and nervous personalities, along with Merlo being a black cat, may have contributed to them being overlooked.
The pair come neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea-treated, and wormed, with a combined adoption fee of £275.
Frosty
Frosty, who was found as a tiny kitten nearly a year ago in a feed warehouse, is described as one of the sweetest, most loving cats you will ever meet, with a heart of gold.
He is an indoor cat, preferably needing a home with pre-existing cats.
He comes neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea-treated, and wormed, with an adoption fee of £125.
Ocean
Finally, two-year-old Ocean was signed over to Zoe's Ark after his previous owner became unwell.
A spokesperson for Zoe's Ark said: "Ocean absolutely adores love and giving love and is a very, very affectionate boy.
"We fought tirelessly to save his life after we nearly lost him to Calicivirus.
"Ocean loves nothing more than to sleep under the duvet with you, cuddled up to you. He loves to be where you are. The loyalty of him is second to none and you would never be alone.
"He’d make an amazing emotional support cat as he’s so in touch with feelings."
Ocean is also an indoor cat and would benefit from a home with pre-existing cats.
He comes neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea-treated, and wormed, with an adoption fee of £125.
