It's almost time to step into a world of "exclusive cocktails and master mixologists" - Darlington's newest cocktail bar is set to open its doors.
The Cherry Tree, on Blackwellgate, has announced that it will be opening for the first time on Friday, November 15, at 8pm.
The bar - located in the former Avalon building- has been revamped over the last few weeks, with signs for the venture going up last weekend.
Recent weeks have seen the exterior of the venue given a fresh lick of paint, as well as the addition of elegant lighting figures and a giant ace of spades card on the wall inside.
The Cherry Tree has confirmed it will launch with an in-house DJ - and while the exact drinks menu remains under wraps, pictures have teased an array of spirits on offer and draught pints including Coors, Madri, and Staropramen.
It's been a busy week for teams inside the Darlington town centre venue, with the former Avalon logo coming down just last week.
As previously reported, punters marked it the “end of an era” when Avalon was confirmed to be closing for good just weeks ago - but were excited at the prospect of something new coming soon to the Darlington nightlife scene.
