A living room has been left with significant smoke damage after a late-night blaze broke out on a new-build Yarm estate.
Emergency services were called to Sybilla Grove, on the Conyers Green estate, on Sunday (November 10) after a fire broke out in the living room of a home.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene from Cleveland Fire Brigade - one from Yarm and two from Thornaby - with the initial call coming in at 7.27pm.
The fire service has now confirmed that the blaze caused 20% fire damage and 80% smoke damage to the living room of the property.
Two breathing apparatus were used by firefighters, as well as one hose reel jet.
As previously reported, pictures taken from the scene showed two fire engines parked on the road just after 8pm.
The front windows of the property were left blackened by the fire, as well as parts of the exterior of the building. A spokesperson previously told The Echo that there were no people involved.
They said: "I can confirm we attended. We sent three appliances to the scene, two from Thornaby and one from Yarm. We received the call at 7.27pm.
